I was reading the FAQ's on the Deltran site last night and it stated that the Battery Tender Plus could be used to activate a new battery but it needed to stay connected for 24 hours. Now the Plus is 1.25 amps and it didn't mention anything about their smaller charger.

The last one I bought will be 7 years old in October and I activated it with Yuasa's 1.5 amp charger. Sadly they don't sell that one anymore.

Well, should I just leave it on until tomorrow to be safe? Would it make a difference?

Wouldn't hurt unless you're wanting to ride in which case I'd just install it and go.

1/10th the amp rating x 24 hours is what the Honda tech schools used to teach when I was a tech.
