How did you wire the head unit to the amp inputs?

Re:Amp size 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Your head unit has 2 sets of rca jacks on it, the yellow wire set is an auxiliary input. The gray set is a pre-amp line level output.
You need a set of y-cords to split the signal to the 2 sets of line level inputs.
If you wired the head unit speaker output to the low level input of the amplifier, that will cause the amp to try and protect itself.

There is your problem.
What is happening is, you are over driving the input, and that causes it to shut down.
Wire the rca's back in, get a couple of rca y-cords, and you should be good to go.
You will not have fader control from the head unit, but you can set the levels for the front vs. rear at the amplifier
