Concealment of wiring 10 Years, 4 Months ago
has anyone dispensed with the standard (thick) wiring from the switchgear in favour of lighter gauge wiring and relays to control the various functions? I'm looking to tidy-up the handlebar area and saw this as a potential answer. Or am I looking for a complex answer to a simple problem? (I do that sometimes.)

Some of the guys have run the wires inside the bars to clean things up. As for thinner wires and relays I don't know.

Like Curt said, most have run them through the bars. Makes for a nice clean look.
