I've had the Baron on my bike for about 3 years, I like it a lot easy to see and its working great.

Ride safe.

What he said.

The only thing I've had to do is change the lamp once, cause I ride in the dark a lot, but that was real easy.

I have the first one listed, but had to change out the '09 riser (2 piece) for an earlier model from a 1600 so it would fit in between them.

Thanks BR, I have Baron`s kickback risers. Found an outstanding price on a KOSO Tach, and also ordered a
Kuryakyn P-Clamp to mount it. $65 all. Most of the KOSO Tach`s listed on Ebay and Amazon from $125 to $165.
I`ll have to let you guys know how it works out. It`s like slightly over 3". I should have no trouble seeing it.
Here`s a link.

I have the second one listed. Had it on my Vstar 1100 for 3 years and switched it to my Roadstar this past winter. Has worked flawlessly. I should have paid more attention when I ordered it and gotten the white face to match the speedo but no one has ever mentioned it.

IMHO, a tach on a RS is not worth the $ or time, you know when to shift, even deaf riders know when to shift. and you dont need to take your MFin eyes off the Mfin road when your close to a shift point either.

Yih Tyan. I did a google search and lots of hits showing the Barons. Mine has the 2.5 inch face, and the clamp part molded right into the case body. It can be moved anywhere on the bars. I put mine right in the middle.

I have a cheap little digital, that I actually like.

The thing that bugged me when looking for a dial/gauge tach is I couldn't find anything with a smaller range.
Everything I found had the 8k RPM scale. Riding at redline and you're only using a little more than half the gauge, and cruise a little more than a quarter of the scale.

(If anyone found a 5-6k RPM tach, please post a name or a link...)
