Ouch! 375.00 for brackets, but if they fill the need.. then I am glad someone makes them.

My question here is this "How many out there would like a set of brackets that would fit the R* and hold HD saddlebags??
Having looked at that mount it does seem to mount to the eye brow bolt area but I'm wondering how that would look with a standard R* fender?? Or will it even work with a standard fender??
If there is enough people who want a bracket designed for the R* that will hold the harley bags, I might start making them. And I seriously think they could be made for around half that price and I would still make some money.

Right on man - count me in as the first customer of yours if you start making them. Would be cool if they were set up to mount the bags a little lower than normal, like Geno's brackets do. Yeah I bet if they were priced fairly, you'd have a good number of buyers.

I mounted Harley bags on my 04 Roadstar. I have pictures, but do not know how to upload them.
The photos are in J peg format. I'll upload them if someone can tell me how to do it.
Thanks Don
Well I just did it so I'll continue.
I Used the original Silverado soft bag mounts(unaltered). My Harley baqs are fiberlass & were too tall for my liking so I reduced the ht. by 1 1/2",I really did not have to do this. I frenched in reflectors which I got at a trailer dealer.
The bags sit on the Yamaha brackets ......I drilled 3 holes in the bags to mount. 2 holes for the upper bag mount(I used a 3/4" spacer between the bag & saddle bag mount to space them away from the bike and 1 screw for the bottom mount.

I used my stock mounts and lowered them 3 inches. I drilled new holes in the bags to line up with the Yamaha mount on the side. And bolted a 1/2 in aluminum tube on the bottom of the mount to fit into the recess of the HD bag. Easy and looks like it is supposed to be there. Another way to look at it is , You make the bag fit the mount, I know this isn't a good pic but I'll post it anyway.
