I've had dogs chase me while I was running or riding my bicycle. And I'm not making that much noise. Keep the pipes and send a bill to the owner of the dogs for your medical bills. They shouldn't' be free to chase bikes. Next time might be a kid on a bike, or an old man running.

Well, seeing for some reason I can't PM you, Kaidallac if the original poster doesn't want the pipes, and they'll fit a 2003 1600 Silverado silver series limited edition, I would be really interested in them. The Cobras on it now are just too loud for me. I live in the 75765 zip code of Hawkins Tx. in case you wanted to see how much it would be to ship them.

Dont know if it was a herding dog but they tend to be a little ocd. I have a herding dog. He has it in for the ups truck, the fed-ex truck an almost ALL motorcycles except for mine. He knows exactly what's coming down the road blocks away, before they ever get near our fence line. If I change my pipes my dog learns my bike from every other bike in about a day. So it is your pipes and it's not your pipes. It's probably more that your on a motorcycle period. I wouldn't change pipes unless you don't like the sound of them either.

Midnitemike. Let me know what you want to do about the OEM pipes. They are yours for the shipping. I'm betting that their are other R* riders in Alaska that have OEM pipes just sitting around.

Yeah I'll take 'em ...absolutely! Lets figure out the shipping and go from there. Previous experience would lead me to believe that USPS is the only way to go so my zip is 99827

If you ask me this dog knew exactly what he was doing. He ran straight at the front of the bike and when I tried to swerve he moved to block me staying right on my 12. Going around him didn't seem like an option and we were closing fast, so I did the only thing I could do and stopped not ten feet from him. ..he never moved. Maybe it wasn't the pipes, I don't know, but as loud as they are they gave him ample warning that I was coming. These VH may look nice but they wouldn't be my first choice because there's almost nothing you can do to take the crack out of them. I've tried a dozen different baffle mods on them and I haven't found a way to mellow them out yet. I'm not a big fan of loud anyway so I'd be happy hanging these things on the wall and using them for a dust collector.

Perhaps you need these pipes instead.

Now that would have been handy...I could imagine a lot of possibilities with a mod like that. Of course a lot of guys wouldn't be satisfied until it was chromed.

Look into Grehound Bus Lines for your freight. I know a few people have shipped bike frames with them at a substantial savings.
