Gauge visor 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
Wondered if anyone had a part # or information on the visor for the speedometer. I would like to find one for my 08 R*.

Do you take the trim off the tank to mount them?

Thanks!
Brad

They stick on with dbl sided tape. I remember years ago someone posting they used a chrome 4" light bezel they bought at a truck stop and it looked just as good as the $60 speedo visor.

Yea, that was me. Go to Loves or Pilot or any big chain truck stop and get the 4 inch guage visor. I glued mine on with super glue, lasted about a year before it fell off. I still have it, just never put it back on yet.

Thanks for the replies. I was kind of hoping it would fit under the tank trim similar to the headlight visor. Not sure how fond I am of tape. I'll have to look around at those for trucks as well it seems.

Put one on my ’09 back in 2013 and is still stuck on there.

No chrome pitting, or peeling either. Looks as good as the day I mounted it.

Mine has been stuck on with the factory tape since 07.

Bought my bike used and visor was already on speedo. I had to replace a couple speedo bulbs and found that the visor on my bike sits on speedo and held in place by the tank trim.. I can rotate mine around for ram air speedo cooling. Lol. Just thought I would mention that the mounting style you are looking for is available, but I have no clue where the previous owner got it. Good luck.
