Sterring Ring Nut Wrench 1 Year, 8 Months ago
I finally tightened the steering head nut on my 02 Roadie, have not yet ridden it to see how it handles now. I am having a medical issue with my shoulder. I did not have the ring nut wrench when I did it so not sure of the torque on the nut. I decided to look for a ring nut wrench and found one on Ebay, $18 for the wrench, $4 shipping and handling, ordered it on the 6th of June got it today. This thing is 1/4 inch stainless steel and is perfect. Anyone looking for a good bargain on a ring nut wrench and does not want to pay over $50-70 for one should check this thing out.

The ratchet styled spanner wrenches for the stem nuts, are the very best solution, as you have discovered. I'm not such a big worrier about torque, as I am about the "Flop test". The " Flop test", is the best way of setting the torque.
