New clutch plate and springs 8 Months, 1 Week ago

So please forgive me I know this has been asked before but I'm new to this so I have a couple questions

I have a 2006 1700 Silverado clutch is slipping and after reading the comments through the site it sounds like it is most likely my springs plate not the friction plates. I have heard Barnett springs and plate mentioned several times is it pretty much a consensus that those are the best. My engine is completely stock. and for just everyday riding are the heavy duty springs necessary? I rarely ride real hard.

Also is there a place on this or any site that might have a video to watch, I'm confident in my ability I just figure it wouldn't hurt to check it out.
