The relay controls the fuel pump.(right side) The ECM controls the relay. If the ECM sees no RPMs the ECM shuts down the power the relay and no fuel pump. Hook up a test light to the fuel pump power wire turn the key on (don't start) and watch the light come on (when you first turn the key) then after about 7 seconds the relay will trip and the light will go out. No RPMs.

Here are the links. The petcock has fine screens on the tubes in the tank, and with a simple filter like the ff1203 from AZ, you should be fine as far as filtering. The filter serves as much maybe more to allow the air to separate from the fuel and return to the tank, as it does filtering.

Grizzly ordered and bracket for enricher as well. Autozone for fuel line and high flow fuel filter. I cant tell everyone how much I appreciate the patience and support I receive from the forum! Updates to follow. Again, thanks to everyone who chimed in to help.

I am doin the pumpless mod also.grizzly orderd,got Curts manifold also.wondering if the Pringle fuel valve is needed? if it is does it come with a gasket?Pics don`t show a gasket.Thanks to all.

No. The stock petcock will flow more fuel then the bike could ever hope to use. Seriously. Drain the tank from the petcock, into a 5 gallon can. It'll drain in less then a half hour. Even at 90 mph, my bikes take quite a bit longer to suck the tank down.
