just as an fyi, they were disconnected, i reconnected them, let it run for about 30 seconds, light went off. Added the plugs back in for the 02 sensors and it has been fine. well see if it comes on again.

Here is the question, if you dont have the o2 sensors connected will it not just trigger them again and start flashing the codes?

In my case the module I was using was supposed to make the ECU think that they were plugged in. It worked fine for months. Apparently something went amiss with it. But, yes, it would come back on if they are unhooked.

I'm glad you got it worked out. Do you still have the Power Commander hooked up? I don't know much about them but didn't think they would work together with the sensors.

I removed mine and hooked the O2 sensors back up. With the pipes I'm running now I honestly think it is running as strong wioth the module as it was with it. Additionally, I'm getting over 40 mpg.

Thanks for the compliment. The fairing is a Memphis Shades and the trunk is Harley Davidson. I built the trunk bracket and had them painted to match.

I still have the pci connected and the o2 sensors are disconnected again. However, I did purchase a k&n filter and put it on last night along with the barons kickback risers. When I took the air filter off, it was coated with a yellow stain of fuel. I think that its getting too much fuel. Im going to watch it with the k&n because it seems to be running better now with that and im not getting a hesitation when im running in like 3rd gear at 35. It seemed to hesitate when i was running really low rpm or really high rpm and hold it there but it didnt at 70 when i was just cruising. So im going to watch and see what heppens but i may end up taking the pci off.

Clarks:

You'll probably be glad you did...

These bikes run just fine (and trouble free) without one.

the only real issue that i have with taking it off is that the shop told me it was running really lean. Thats why i put it on for the most part, they also stated that they could get the decel pop out of it which i took care of myself after they told me they couldnt get it all out. AIS removal. now im wondering if that was true at all.

They lied to you! I put 8K on my '08 with the K&N BAK and Speedstar Dragster longs exhaust and pulled the plugs to change to Iridiums for the hell of it. The old plugs looked perfect and I've never had any signs of it running lean (or rich for that matter). And you are right a PC will not get the decel popping out. Only removal of the AIS will do that. I guess I'm just an old guy who doesn't mind spending money for products that do what they claim but can't stand slick advertising or bad info and lies from people with profit motives or over inflated egos!

still having the issue, it seems that either I need to remove the pci or take it to a place about 2 hours away that has a dyno and can tune it 100% sure for 250.00, I bought this mind you from a dealer and had them install. The codes seem to kick everytime im on the interstate running up hill on a hard pull. Ive tried remapping with a map thats close, but from what ive read even though they are close they are still far off. So im trying to decide, take off and let it run for a bit and see how it goes, take the chances with it being lean... Ive always had my work done at the dealer other than a few mods on the vstar. Im like another guy im almost ready to put the stock pipes back sell what I have and forget it. I just love the sound, but I cant deal with the BS of worrying about it everytime i ride.
