I'm looking to replace my OEM Stock rear suspension set up. I'm not interested in expending another $500 for a new shock but would rather install a heavier duty progressive spring. I don't seem to be able to locate one on Progressive.
Anyone dealt with this before? What is the recommended Part#.
I'm about 217lb and wife is est-150. I've adjusted the lash on the shock but we still keep bottoming out over RR tracks and such. Wife has a bad back so these really hurt.

They are for 43MM Showa forks, which is Yamaha's standard for big bikes. At 205lbs. is the FRSP S3732095 the right spring part # ?
Either the S3732095 or he S3732100 will work for you. I personally like things a little on the stiffer side because I tend to ride pretty hard and rely heavily on the front brake when doing so. I have the S3732100 and feel I could even go one stiffer (I'm 200lbs.). But, the S3732095 should feel slightly less harsh during normal riding. The difference between the two would be tough to notice for the majority of riders, IMO
So, the answer to your question lies in how you usually ride I think. Thanks, that gives me some more to consider . I'm still trying to decide how I like my Roadwing set. Not sure if I like stiffer or softer. My RAP is easily accessible while riding so I spend a lot of time adjusting preload. Just to many variables in road surfaces. I'm my own biggest Pain in the Butt.

Run your RAP at 10% intervals moving up from zero preload until you find the spot where the harshness increases to a point you are constantly noticing. Then bring it back down a step. It could be surprisingly light. If you have not done the front yet, don't judge the rear too fast. Balance between the two is where bliss lies. I run 1/3 of my available preload for me solo and 2/3 with my 140 pound son on back. I'm a biscuit past 250 these days.

Horsehamerr Where did you mount your rap. I am waiting on my wing to be shipped from Smoke. I like the idea being able to adjust on the fly

I'll see if I can get a good pic. and maybe get someone to post from email for you. I simply routed the hose to the left side up behind the rear horn and attached the stock BMW bracket with the one case cover bolt above and to the right of the Shift Shaft.PM me your email address and I will email you some pics.

This option would be difficult to adjust on the fly since you would have to use your right hand, throttle hand ?
