This may be old news to some, but it's news to me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless they plan on updating this site, it appears that Yamaha/Star are abandoning the Road Star, Venture and Stratoliner line of bikes for the 2015 model year. So much for competing in the "large" touring class.

I asked a dealer last weekend if he had a 2015 list or catalog and he said not until December.

Just got off the phone with Star Motorcycle customer relations and got a very vague (and not very promising) answer. According to the person I spoke with, they (Star) aren't sure if those bikes will be brought back for 2015. "They haven't made a decision yet."

I have heard this exact same thing. also I heard something about some of the star accessories for the roadstar being discontinued. I will qualify this, I heard it on various internet sites, but we do know that if its on the internet, then it has to be true.

I hear this and I also heard that there is a new full dress bagger coming out from Star. I heard this from 2 separate people that happen to work at Yammy dealers.

Roadie is toast. Not that I know anything but do the math....accessories having been disappearing off the Star website at a furious rate. In production 15 years nearly unchanged.
Realistically for the times it's long in the tooth.
Now if they have been paying attention to this site and others it's obvious what this demographic wants....Soft Tail styling, windshield, bags.....and I presume Star will respond to that but its going to be water cooled I'm betting.

I just checked this site, and it looks like the Road Star, and Stratoliner will only be sold in Canada for 2015.,, http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcycles/2015/Yamaha.htm
