Oil pressure gauge added for about $40 1 Year, 5 Months ago
I just drove 12 miles after losing my oil pump drive shaft. If I had an oil pressure gauge might have realized it sooner. Thankfully it appears no engine damage. I think that's pretty amazing.

So I've been looking into adding an oil pressure gauge and ran across a youtube of a guy who put one between the banjo nut and the head. Im upgrading the oil pump drive gear and adding the gauge for future precaution. I'll paste links for the parts if anyone wants to try it.

I'm interested. Do you have parts list and where you got the parts. I'm also curious on how you found out your oil pump gave out. Alot of noise Or what ? 12 miles no damage? That's amazing. I'm not sure if the guy that owned my bike before me changed the pump gear when they had the recall done.

I like the look of that as well as the function. Just wondering about leg interference?

You may have the upgraded gear. I think it was 2002 and later that got the upgrade but I could be wrong. The tangs were "beefed up". The part number I ordered was SPD-4WM09-29-00 for right around $50.

Here's the gauge setup. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WmxwBpea3M

I found the 0-100psi Marshall fluid-filled pressure gauge on ebay for $20... and got the 10mm banjo fitting and the 10mm x 1.25 dual-banjo bolt from Amazon. But you can find them all over. Saw them on several websites.

"Seems like" plenty of clearance between my leg and the gauge now, but I'll know better after I've had a chance to ride with it and will post an update after.

I like that a lot. Might have to do something similar myself. Thanks

So, what does the gauge show for pressure during idle and riding?

This fits in here, right? I mean, I can make this fit in here ... right?
