Wow, bummer news Stalking this site is what brought me to own a Road Star. I'm use to checking this site each morning when I get to work.
Thank you Gram and moderators for all the work, time and money that you put into this site that I took for granted. Really going to miss it. And all the great people on here as well.

Damn! Now I'm wondering if I'm a jinx! I report the ending of one of the two forums I usually go to ending, and now THIS news!!! I will definitely miss the exchange of ideas, experiences, recommendations, etc. I've never been much on get-togethers, but have never been shy of sharing discoveries on mechanical problem solving. I'll never know the ins-and-outs of starting up and running a website (something of a luddite), but uncounted thanks to you, Gram, for all you've done through the years. I've only physically interacted with a scant few of the members here in the DFW area, but have greatly enjoyed the interaction on-line. Like others, I wish there was some way to retain all the tech articles, personal fix suggestions, etc., but , frankly, I lack the computer skills needed, and am adverse to joining social media (I know, I'm somewhat of a recluse- it goes back to my childhood and earlier years, being the eldest of seven, with both parents working, then, later, serving in submarines). To Gram, the moderators, and all the members I've interacted with, a very sincere THANKS for all you've done, and as sailors say "fair winds and a following tide!"

I hate this, I really do.

I hope there is some way we can get copies of the tech articles on DVD or something.

Not sure how all the threads giving priceless advice & bouncing ideas in open threads can be saved short of keeping the site running. In many cases, that's where the really groundbreaking stuff came from. It would be a damn shame to see all that just evaporate into cyberspace. Even working at a Yamaha dealership with full access to every technical document Yamaha has ever produced doesn't give me as much usable information about our Roadstars as this site. This site alone has been the most extensive worldwide testing, research & development consortium for the Roadstar line since it's inception.

If you decide to let someone else take over let me know.

I agree this is a major blow

This site was the reason I bought my RS in the first place.

I don't know if this is possible, but I for one would be willing to pay monthly dues to keep this site alive.

As others have mentioned, I would also be willing to purchase a DVD copy of the tech articles.

This is far worse than the day your new vehicle warranty expires

First off i want to say thanks to the Gram and his team for the info central on Roadstars that i have come across. I learned alot in the past year and met some great folks, i too will be headed to the local office supply for ink cartridges and and external hard drive to catch as much priceless info that i can as Bubba said you can read and read and still not get the info that you can from a group of guys and gals that have "real" experiences with a given issue and solution. Thanks again RSC for a truly great ride FB will never replace you guys.

It is saddening to know that RSC will be gone. I too look at the site numerous times a day even when I am at work. It was keeping me up to date on modifications and technical support since I am not the greatest of motorcycle mechanics.
The RSC and many of the people associated with it gave me more inspiration to modify my RS with parts such as tour pack, saddle bags and faring all from Harley's. Also when I was having issues with the dreaded carb puke.

Cant't thank Gram along with all the other moderators for doing such a fantastic job with the site.

So in closing everyone ride safe, keep the rubber on the road and knees in the breeze.

God bless all of you,

Can't thank Gram enough.

I saw this coming. Many boards have shut down due to costs, difficult thing to do.

I've enjoyed (mostly) my time here. I'm going to post up a part or two for sale before it shuts down to see if we can help someone out with a couple things I have.

I suggest everyone shift over to the Facebook page.

Best to all.

Most importantly, thank you to Gram and all the moderators for a great site and for keeping things going as long as you have. This is sad news. I am not much of a contributor of information here, but can't begin to express how helpful the huge depth of knowledge here has been. There is a truly amazing group of people here. As a part-time owner and developer of a site that has also passed it's prime, though, I completely understand the reasons for moving on.

For those mentioning the desire to retain tech articles, printing them to file is an option. When on a tech article, click the print icon in the upper right corner. This will pop up a window with the full text and images contained in the whole article, not just the page that you are on. From there, use your computer's print dialog to print to file. Personally, I save them to Google Drive in PDF format.

Thanks again, Gram and all who made this site possible.

So, how big is the site...?

How much could fit on a few DVDs,(you know, using smaller fonts to save space..)
or maybe the Tech Articles and a few other key write ups.
Roadwings, 4 Gauge wires, front forks, M&G prep threads, etc.

Perhaps you could create a DVD set or something.

I'd like to think more than a few folks here would help you out with a few bucks for you for all you have done,
and to help preserve some tech and fond memories.
