So I have the u turns done on the hoses... but I can seem to find the vacuum hose. Does anyone have any ideas how different this is for the FI model??? Just put on new pipes and it back fires and I want to see if this takes care of it. THANKS

Did you remove the AIS? Did you pay attention to where the vacuum hose connected to the engine or manifold when you took it off? That should be capped. Did you follow the tech article on this site? I can't remember on mine. Sorry.

the only other hose I had to deal with on my 2013 FI R* when I removed the AIS, was during the removal of the charcoal canister. It has tubes that go from the roll over valves from the fuel tank to the canister, then from there to the back of the air filter box.
I simply removed the hoses off the canister, then I removed the hose from the air filter box, and put the rubber plug over the tube, that the kit came with. I routed the hose from the roll over valve down the frame so that it vents the tank down under the bike.

If you aren't using an AIS removal kit from barons for our bikes, and you aren't removing or do not have the charcoal canister on the bike (it is on california models only)then there isn't a vacuum hose on the FI bikes that I know of.

Also, I would go ahead and just get the barons kit with the two flanged covers for the place the AIS tubes bolt to the jugs.
I removed the AIS on my bike, and it stopped all of the popping and backfiring. the kit is only about 25$
getting to the place you have to bolt the covers over the hole on the rear jug is kind of a pain in the butt, I had to loosen up the atmospheric sensor module and move it out of the way a bit to be able to get to that spot.

I found out that I just needed to reroute the tubes and then unplug the electrical harness.. Pretty simple unless you're looking for a vacuum hose lol. Good to go until I get my kit to remove it all... Luckily I live in Wisconsin and don't have to worry about the charcoal canister thing, thank God lol. The few revs I did, I didn't hear any popping or backfiring with my new Rush racing system... Thanks all!

I made sure to cover the plug end of the connector that is still wired into the bike. Didn't want rain or water from puddles splashing into it, or those pesky bees that make nests inside little spaces nesting in it lol
I just wound electrical tape around it.

That's right, the FI bikes have electrical control of the AIS and the carbonated bikes use a vacuum line. Just remove the entire system and be done with it. The block off kit is cheap or just make your own with aluminum flat bar.

+1 but as Silkentek said, do something with the wire harness plug. I would pack it with Dielectric grease then wrap with tape or shrink tube. That will make it water/corrosion resistant, then tuck it up out of the way.
