5 miles from me. right in line with your price, but from a private seller. so from a dealer, you didn't do bad. https://altoona.craigslist.org/mcy/d/2013-yamaha-vstar-1300-deluxe/6246433403.html

And she's getting 2 brand new tires included. Pretty fair deal.

Yup and it is the tax and license that brought it to 8,600 or so.
Price on the bike is 7,990.00

I have seen other blue deluxes for sale, but none of them are in california lol
This was the case when they first came out too, the blue ones went FAST, the silver ones sold, but not as fast. I don't know about the newer ones, haven't looked in a while. I really hate yamaha's new decal scheme they put on the newer cruisers and the 2017 deluxe is just ugly with it.

The blue one is the best! We go get her tomorrow! OMG I can't wait... I get to watch Toby ride her home WHEEEEEEE! (puts coffee cup down for a bit)

Not only that I think the roadstar trunk mount that ultrastar makes will bolt right on to that quick release sissy bar siderail set. So I may be asking around for a used trunk mount and trunk again.
If I wasn't so darned honest, I would have grabbed my trunk and mount, grips, heat shield and a few other things off of the R* before they dragged her away. I couldn't bring myself to do that tho, figuring the ins company paid for those things.

Jed did chide me for it, but it felt too much like 'stealing' once we cashed the check for the bike.
ah well, I will just have to save my pennies again and start over =)

Brought Her home today

Named Her Onwego. I was discussing color names with Toby and asked him what he thought about Indigo, he said how about On-we-go ? I liked it, because, well... On We GO! hehe

He had a lot of fun riding her home, and I followed in the suburban, and even managed to keep up
Getting the garmin GPS updated now, lots of maps and firmware to update. Got our music library loaded on a memory card and installed as well.
The previous owner kicked down every little thing that came with that GPS unit, which is a treasure trove of mounting systems etc. The unit is so easy to remove from the bike, the first thing I located was the dust cover for the motorcycle mounting point and the carry case so I could lock the thing in the side bag when we go into the store etc.

Then spent a bit of time polishing both bikes.

Unfortunately, she has a fatter fender then the roadstar, bigger rear tire. so won't be able to re-purpose my tall sissy bar. It's all good tho.

Toby says I will really enjoy riding the bike when I am able, and until then, he will ride me around on it.

Congrats on the new ride! I just received my wife's blessing for another one so I've been looking quite a bit. I haven't even brought the subject up to her because I know she was a mess after my wreck. She was taking me to one of my doctors appointments and noticed me looking at every bike I saw. She looked at me and said she would feel terrible if she kept me from something I love to do and if I wanted I could get another one. I doubt I'll get one this year because I'm sure I won't be able to ride till spring but if I'm as lucky as you and find my dream bike I'll come home with it. I might buy mine back from the insurance if they don't want too much for it and part it out. I'm glad your healing and looking forward to getting back in the saddle

I hope you find the perfect bike for yourself. =)
I was surprised when Toby actually decided we had to go for this bike and just get it. He asserts that it is already doing it's job though, since I am out in the yard, moving around and rubbing both bikes down, playing with the garmin GPS unit and getting it all set up with music and so on. I have been getting plenty of exercise, instead of just sitting in my chair looking at motorcycle pics and reading about all the great rides everyone else are going on.

My oldest son is really stoked about the new bike, but my daughter is not speaking to me lol
Oh well =)
This is MY dream, and my life, and I refuse to give up on it!
