Glad to see you back riding again! Are you going to decorate this bike all studs and fringe like the Roadie??

Loren, really glad to hear you are doing well, and back on the bike. Have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you and Toby.

I don't know. I think for now I am just going to ride it. Personalization will have to wait until I really feel like it is my bike. My roadie was special, If I do trick this bike out, it probably won't be like I did with Sapphire. I have been thinking to just add a trunk and some bag rails and call it good.

Congratulations on getting back on the horse. I totalled my Toyota FJ Cruiser back in November of 2016. Rolled it after a sports car hit the back passenger tire. He lifted the fj up in the air, went underneath me while I was airborne, and then I crashed down on the driver's side. It was totally my fault for turning left when oncoming traffic stopped and waved me to turn. Wound up with a bad concussion and ultimately realized I damaged a dental nerve so had 3 root canals, one extraction, and am waiting on a dental implant. All of that was to say I can definitely understand where your unsteadiness and hesitation comes from. And I was inside a vehicle! I still have a bit of nervousness when executing a left turn in busy traffic.

Hang in there girl and enjoy life. It is what we make of it. Be safe out there.

Yikes, that must have been extremely scary! Good thing you WERE in a cage, if you had been on your bike, well... just.. thank God you are ok. I know about dental woes, I am grateful my helmet protected my face and head. If I had been wearing my half helmet that day, I would have also had a broken jaw at the very least.

Gear is so important, it doesn't make you a super hero but it definitely increases your survival chances. I was hurt pretty badly but if I hadn't had the proper gear on, it would have been so much worse. I got told that a LOT by all the doctors.

I hope you guys all have a Merry Christmas =) Ours will be quiet, Our 'Christmas' will be in July when we get to go pester the heck out of shores and mikeyc and jaybo and the rest lol

That's great news!! It was a little nerve racking for me the first time or two for me after the semi pulled out in front of me and I totaled mine in July. I'm a lot more calm now but it definitely made me more aware of what's going around me now. Good luck and happy sailing.

It's good to hear that you are back in the saddle again, when I was a little boy (6 or 7) my Dad put me on a Shetland pony and started teaching me to ride a horse,Shetlands can be cantankerous and yep,I got thrown off.I really didn't want to get back on but Dad wouldn't take no.

The rest is history,I got over my fear and learned to ride.Sounds like you are over the worst of this serious accident, enjoy your new ride.
God bless you and Merry Christmas !!!!!

Silkentek, glad you are back in the saddle. I was really skittish about riding after my little accident. But as soon as I could, I got back on to chase the skittishness away !!! Kai
