Road Star "Rake" 7 Months ago
I don't understand the factors in changing the rake in the neck and don't need to. But I have found a Road Star trike and the ad said it has 32 degree of rake does that mean it has the Easy Steer kit installed it doesn't have the second fork lock tab. It's over a day away from my place so may have my nephew check it out. Just need to know what he needs to look for on the neck.

Unless they changed something, and simply posted the wrong numbers, it's the same as stock. 32 degrees, is what Roadies come out of the factory with. I'm not sure if they recommend going to something like 6 over on trikes, or not. Maybe one of our trike members will chime in.

I have a Champion kit on my bike with easy steer, that's what champion calls it. Really triple tree.Anyway mine is 5-6 degrees. Works really well the trike. Easier to steer not sure how it would be on a 2 wheel. You probable can see it in my pic. Ken

There is only one fork lock tab on the Roadie neck, Greg. It sticks straight out in the middle(actually a fork stop). The fork locks, are handled by a bolt that is thrown when you turn the key to lock. The bolt slips into a hole. in the upper tree(bridge)

You'd think Easy Steer would have a trade mark or something stamped on their work.

You should be able to see the front end extended out with the extra 5-6 degrees. I just checked my bike and there is a tab on the right side for locking on the bottom of the neck but nothing on the lower bracket. You can see on my profile pic that the front end is extended out. Ken

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to have my nephew who lives near it check it out and do the "Face Time" thing so I can get a better look at it.
