I, for one, have downloaded many articles from the Clinic to insure continued hassle free maintenance. It's been an amazing run here and I look back on all the great people I've met with hopes of meeting up with them in the future. Sad that many good things must come to an end but the memories, comradery and respect shown by all the members stand as a lasting memento to the Clinic. I'm sure that we'll all stay in contact somehow. Here's to all the characters I've come to know as my other family (even you Jonah, RIP brother).

well I for one have been very lucky to have found this forum , and as i also had a site' i'm a bit confused to cost , soft ware and data , not being a nerd or anything. is all the data on one server or on many is an internet server or a private one, and what is the cost and how much would be needed to continue it. there should be a way of saving it so much information is lost now a days to smart phone and no one uses a manual they just google it, but the information offered is seldom accurate. On this site I have found valuable info. enough for me to buy a salvage and have it together in two weekends with part supplied by the members of the forum. Well for now lets see what will become , keep me in the loop adegen@telus.net I sincerely wish all the best to the future of the group forum!

hungry for knowledge willing to share, I have been building salvage and rebuilds and customs since I was 18 y/o love it , really ! I have a little shop of horrors stuffed with tools and live in a very boring town so lots of time to tinker, tweak, and fab.

I know a couple of technical individuals that would be willing to help maintain the site depending on the requirements. Please let me know if there is anything we can do.

What the what ?!
Had to sell my '00 about 5 yrs. ago to cover medical expenses. Recovered, retired, bought an '04.
Looking forward to re-connecting with the old gang, I went straight to the RSC site & now it might be going away ?
I'm not a technical kind of guy, nor do I have unlimited $'s, but please let us know what we (I) can do to maintain this community.
I learned so much about these awesome motorscooters on this site. Now I'm starting back from square-1 with a totally unmolested 1700. There's so much to be done with this new (to me) ride. I'll never be able to remember all that stuff !
Standing-by...JW.

Welcome back! It's not what you remember, the site is much less active than before. There are many members working to keep it going, so don't be too worried about it going away. Allow me to introduce myself: I am Father Pobasturd. I started out here as Pobasturd, but changed it when I got Ordained. Some here will tell you my Ordination is bullshit, it's not a reputable church, blah blah blah...Hey, I paid the fuing money and I have the documentation to prove it so they can kiss my ass.

Looks like I came on here just after you left so you don't know of me. There used to be a guy named Jonah on here who a lot of people say I reminded them of. Obviously, he pissed off lots of folks and said things that were unpopular. If that is so, than the resemblance is factual. I have mellowed out some since my Ordination, but not completely. You have been warned.

First order of business, you need to update you profile. We will assume you still reside in Georgia, but your bike info needs updating if you are going to be asking tech questions. 2004, if I recall, has the electronics upgrades, but is vulnerable to SVS. When you get some decent weather to ride you may want to do a Sea Foam shock treatment if the bike has a lot of miles on it. Also, Yamaha discontinued the Road Star from the line-up since you left, we are still getting factory parts and there are still some aftermarket places helping out. But, if you want, say, a new aftermarket exhaust system, your choices are getting a little slim. And I hope like hell you didn't pay much for that bike, 'cause they are going for next to nothing and getting cheaper all the time.

Anyway, it's good you are back, we need fresh meat. Still plenty of tech-critters on here, may take you a little longer to find out what you need, but it's here.

FPB, you are too modest.
Welcome back Jonah.
Some have parted with their Road Stars for health,and/or age issues.
Others have gone to other brands.
Still many good people and lots of knowledge here.
