Sorry man, best I can do. Medicine Hat is a bit of a haul from Florida or I'd hitch up the trailer and come up to get ya.

Alright so I pulled the carb apart again, blew out all the ports with compressed air, everything looks super clean. Pulled the plugs, they were pretty black, so I put a different set in that I had kicking around, and the bike still won't run properly. Coughs out the carb and runs rough. It sits there and fluctuates in idle speed from low to high, when it goes low it almost dies.

I shot the temps on the exhaust coming off the heads, and the front cylinder runs almost 35 degrees Celsius lower

For us in the US that is 95º colder. You have a issue with the front cylinder missing and shutting down. It may be something like a bad coil. The exhaust should be within a couple degrees between front and rear.

I just tested the resistance across the coil, its in range. One of the spark plug caps is reading 8.78 kOhms, and the other is 9.97. Shop manual says 10 is spec. Could the low resistance in the one cap be causing the issue?

One of the caps in the rear cylinder is also reading low, at 8.46kOhms, and the other is 9.43

caps aren't the problem. Have you checked the float level? If it runs worse with the choke pulled out just a bit says that you aren't lean. That along with the black plugs says rich. Then the running for 20 sec and stalling almost leads me to think electrical unless it is flooding itself out because of a high float level. I'm at a loss here, without seeing the bike in person I'm running out of things to check. Then again it could still be SVS that Curt's cure can't fix.

I haven't checked the float bowl, I have been extremely careful not to bend the little tang when I have the carb apart, but I will check it when I get a chance here. Do you know the size of hose that fits on the drain by chance?

And its kind of a weird issue, I'm kind of thinking that it's not because of SVS, I did Curts sure and it didn't change anything, but if it was SVS, it wouldn't have ran perfect on Friday afternoon. Would be a fairly consistent issue in my opinion, but correct me if I'm wrong!

remove your pms screw and make sure that you have a o-ring,and a spring. you may have to get a mirror and light to see if it is deep inside the pms hole.
just my .02 worth hope it helps

Hey, thanks for the advice. I had the PMS out when I cleaned the carb and did see an Oring and a spring in there, so should be good to go on that front.

Isn't there a tiny washer then a O-ring on the PMS?

Yes, there's the screw with the spring on it, then a tiny washer, and then the o-ring
