I have gone pumpless on my 2001 Roadstar 1600. I have made the following changes:
1.Removed fuel pump.
2.Added a 167.5 main jet
3.Added a Gizzly 660 needle valve
4.lowered float to 2MM
5.Installed Pingel High flow fuel valve
6.Adjust the Air Flow Mixture to 2 1/4 turns
7.Installed an Inline fuel filter
8.Installed SSCC Hi-Flow Air Filter
9.Installed Baron Air Injection Removal Kit
10.Thermal insulated fuel line and filter

I no longer Have the Puking (gas out the float vent) problem. What is happening is after I start and start to take off it stalls, like it's running out of fuel. After it stalls it's hard to start again.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

To start with the float level needs to be at least 5 mm's and maybe more. The running level will be a lot lower without the pump.

Where is your idle speed set? Have you changed the pilot? Have you checked out your manifold for leaks? What exhaust?

I'll reset it for 5MM, and see what happens. Thanks

It's at 900 rpm, no I haven't changed the pilot, I just ordered a 37.5, the pipes are street sweeper, no baffles,I can run 110 mph all day with no problem, but I haven't checked for intake leaks.

Running with no baffles can cause several problems, low speed fueling among them.

I want to do this so bad on my 1700 but I just installed the BAK, 172.5 main and a 37.5 pilot and I just worry about screwing something up. I may just run the pump until something happens.

Like you're thinking about it, I did it out of necessity.

I love pumpless, JaredJ; but I didn't mess with it until the carb puke and starting issues from that made it unbearable and less than roadworthy. After I made the decision and did it, going pumpless was the best thing to ever happen to my bike.
