Anyone know the actual location of the rollover valve? 2007 RS.
I am staring at the manual and drawing a blank. LOL
Is it by the battery?
I have browsed the forum but don't see a tech article....

If I remember it's behind and below the battery.

Thanks.
I think for the time being I will just pop the top hose off and route it beside the valve.
Unless its a bad idea....its hidden somewhat and does not appear to be a bad spot. Unless I need to have it extended down further...
Being pumpless I find the roll over valve seems to catch when the bike is started for the first minute, if you take off it does. Pop the gas cap off and it sucks air in, and the bike stops stumbling and regains idle.
This should fix it.

Thanks for the picture!

Indeed eliminating the rollover valve made a big difference.

Have you thought about venting the Gas Cap as well? I know some guys don't like the idea, but I did mine with no issues......

If you desire to keep the safety feature instilled on the bike those valves are only 11-12 bucks.

+1 as long as the OEM vent is working properly the is no reason to vent the cap. Think of it like this, look at the vent size on a 5 gal gas can and how fast you can empty the 5 gal can. What will it take a couple minutes? You are trying to empty your 5 gal gas tank in about a 180-200 mile ride. What is that about 3 hr's? I think a properly working OEM vent can handle it.

All that stuff was ripped off of my bike long before I bought it. The only Tank Vent I had was the little 90* barbed Tube at the top of the Tank and I'm guessing it wasn't working very well because twice I had my Tank go into a vacuum state making it difficult to start. Popped the Gas Cap, heard it suck air into the Tank, and it started right up. I've read you can straighten out and then drill out that Tube but I sure as heck don't want any possibility of getting any metal shavings in my Tank at all. 10 minutes, the cap was vented and never had another problem with it.

I remember reading that a few yrs ago about straitening it to drill it out. I would be afraid to break it or mess it up in some other way like you said about shavings in the tank, plus I don't think there is a need. If yours wasn't working it is just plugged with some dirt or something and needed to be cleaned out.
