I was 15 or 16 by then, and I've never looked back. I was 11 yrs old & my neighbor Floyd (the older brother I never had) was teaching me to drive his Cushman Super Eagle. "Give it a little gas & ease-up off the clutch" he said. I rolled the throttle, stepped off the clutch, & stood it straight up. OH,YEAH !! My dad had an early 60s BSA and I can remember my dad giving my brother and me rides around the block. I was to small to ride on the back so my dad put me on the gas tank. I had to be no more than 2 years old. It felt as natural as drinking beer.
