Diamond plate and rebar. You could call it your Industrial Chopper or Industrial Strength Chopper.

I still didn't get much done today...I had the past due honey do list of taking the gazillions of Christmas decorations down and getting them back in the attic. MUCH FUN!!!! Anyway I also sold a trailer to a guy today that I got to talking to and he is a machinist by trade. I showed him my rough cut brackets for the controls and he said he could punch out some without a problem. He asked if I thought there would be a market for adapters for Harley controls for metric bikes. I think there would be, but told him I would post the question here and see what you guys thought. Would there be a market for either black powdercoated or chrome (I am thinking black powdercoated to match the frame) adapters where HD controls would bolt right up? I also told him about spacing them out 3/4" - 1" and he acted as if it would be simple to include that in the adapter. What do you guys think?

I could go for a powdercoated set if the $ was right.

That, of course would be the deal maker/breaker. What do you think would be a fair price? The way I explained it to him was like this...there are only a few companies that make controls for our bikes and a bunch for the Harley's (like just about everything). Controls for our bikes run in the $600 and up range. HD controls can be bought for around $300 - so the adapters couldn't be outrageous. I am thinking around $100 would make them desireable. That would give alot more of a selection of controls to choose from.

The closer to $100 it gets, the more I'd want to do my own. Find out & let me know.

Will do...I was just figuring by the time they were powder coated and everything. Anyways who knows what he has in mind. So far I have about $30 in material and that doesn't include powder coating. I did order 1" and 3/4" spacers though so I could see which I liked better, but I had the chrome flathead bolts already from a previous bike.

I'm working on some plates that would allow for removing the foot boards & replacing them w/your choice of foot pegs. This would allow for keeping & using the origanial brake & shifter. No need to buy anything else. Any thoughts on this concept?
