The site will continue as-is for the most part.
It will be reorganized to make the non-bike stuff easier to bypass if users wish to completely hide it from their feed.

Spoke with Gram today & got site stats on bandwidth.
We're currently just peaking traffic at 25GB/month so we're going to need to get the 75GB/month hosting package.
If everyone who's pledged covers their donation we'll have more than enough for the new site paid a year in advance.
Details to come - very soon ...
Gram also said he'd make a formal announcement when he gets a little free time, he's swamped with work right now.

Thank you, Jeff, for taking the initiative that you have. As I have previously said, I treat the assets of the clinic as a trust I hold for this community of riders. The clinic was built by its users, and from my perspective, it belongs to them. I like everything I see coming together a lot. I think the new forum option will bring some added versatility, albeit at the expense of some of the features we have here. It is also being proposed as a hosted solution, which takes the day to day code management out of the responsibility of the members.
The archiving option may prove tricky, but I guess that time will tell.
Jeff: one thing you will have to address is the high number of 404 requests you are going to get in the new solution. Please be prepared for that. It may be addressable off the shelf at the new forum.
I am posting this to let everyone know that I endorse what is being proposed as an alternative that can keep the clinic alive for its members. I wish I had more time to contribute, but I really don't. It is all I can do to get enough bathroom breaks into my day right now.
Good luck everyone! It sounds like we are headed into some good options.

That's accurate for the current site, with all of the threads and such being crawled by search engines. But with the new site I think that our bandwidth will be almost nothing at first. When I spoke to the guy at VBulletin Cloud he recommend starting at the minimum. If we have occasional bursts above the 25GB limit then we get an alert. If it's a regular occurrence then we'd need to upgrade to the 75GB package.

That's cool, I was wondering what their policy was regarding bandwidth overages.
