Be very mindful of those that are riding around you, I love the sound of those big group rides but honestly hate riding in those big formations with nowhere to escape in case of emergency.

See that's what I worry about. That and getting separated from the group and ending up in a lead position. I can't lead cause I'm a little bit of a throttle twister so of rather be at the back or the middle.

My local Yami dealer does a big shop ride in the middle of the summer every year. Huge mix of sport bikes and cruisers with a few of those can-am spyders thrown in. These are guys that work on bikes for a living and ride as much as they can, it still doesn't stop them from acting a fool when everyone is around. Personally its a lot of up/down shifting between first and second on the ones I have been on. I usually just give tot he charity of choice and ride on my own or with a couple of buddies. BUT that is just me, everyone should experience a big group ride at least once. Some people love them and some people hate them.
