This is a New One on ME.... 3 Weeks, 5 Days ago
I found a nice '99 for a friend, and he agreed to buy it. I rode it home, and am going all through it for him.

I remove the seat and the side covers and I see WIRES. I go, uh, oh, that's usually not a good sign when a po has been either opening the harness, or adding stuff.

I remove the tank and trace the wires, and I find a small DynoJet RevMaster box under the seat, near the battery, with 5 wires. One's hot, another ground, but the remaining 3 go to the coils, which are all wrapped up in electrical tape.

I'm thinking maybe po had experienced the leaking coil issue... and, that this RevMaster bypasses the factory ignition controller with its 4,250 rpm limit, and allows for some higher preset rpm within this box???

Anybody KNOW what this is? I don't recall ever seeing or hearing of this accessory before. TIA!

I don't usually do the net too very well, but I guess this time, I asked the right question...

Here: http://www.dynojet.com/jetkits/revmaster.aspx

Anyone ever seen or had one of these before?

When I get it back together, I'm going to run it up to the limiter, and see if it's real and working!

I was able to find the answer my own question!!!

One of those was given to me by another member to put on a buddy's 03. As far as I know it only changes the rev limit.

They do have the installation instructions online.
Too bad it's not in color but it does label the wires & has a few clear pictures:

Yeh, this is definitely an add-on, and not a replacement.
