Re:RAP types and mounting 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago
The rap line I got with my F6B must have been one of the shortest damn rap lines they make. It was maybe 18". I can tell you it is doable and probably cleaner in the long run not to have excess line to coil or loop around your bike etc, but it was more of a pain to install. I routed the line thru the center post opening..

Although coiling extra line won't affect function I think you're better off figuring out where you want to mount the rap first, and then take a 3/8" rubber hose to simulate rap line routing for length needed and have someone like smokescreens get you that length rap line.

I did the same, pretty short, but long enough to put it where it needed to go.

Same here, it was just enough line. hey how did the bleeding go for you. That was a bit of fun wasn't it? I put the line on the shock and fed fluid in until fluid ran out the top of the line, then I plugged it, then with the rap off on the lowest setting I filled it to the tippy top and left it sitting ready, then put the shock roughly in place while feeding the line up thru the center, finally pulled the plug out of the line and fast as I could spun the rap onto the line without loosing too much fluid. I'm sure I don't have every bit of air out but I couldn't see a better way to do it. It seems to be functioning well so far although when I got the shock it was super hard to take the rap to the highest setting, now it's a bit easier. So I'm assuming that's the little air left inside that made it easier.

Yeah, I did the same as you and it worked just fine. I doubt there is much air if any, and it's good enough for me. Looking forward to riding it!

Hey Jaybo, with your knob being smaller, (chuckle chuckle) you could probably use a semi lug nut cover.

Jaybo here's where I mounted mine. I found it helped me to have it where my hand can get a grip on it and i can reach it comfortably from the seat. I welded a little angle bracket. Found a couple really cool chrome gismos for the know too.

Does your side cover still fit with it mounted there?
What did you actually mount it To? The engine mount bolt?
