Need replacement bezel for ignition asembly 2 Years, 9 Months ago
Purely a cosmetic fix...the original one is faded, beat up looking and I would like either a new factory stock one or an aftermarket one. The bezel that has writing on it (i.e., RUN, etc) is looking old and I merely want to replace it with a new one. I have looked online and have not found either stock nor aftermarket pieces. Any input would be appreciated.

Find some dude on Ebay that's parting out a Roadstar and email him about the ring. Maybe too small of a part to justify a listing.

You could also just paint it.

Re:Need replacement bezel for ignition asembly 2 Years, 9 Months ago
I looked at this piece but don't know if it what I need. The white lettering on my bezel insert (RUN OFF etc) looks worn..that is what I wanted to replace....maybe I'm calling it the wrong thing? Do they make the black piece with white lettering as a replacement part?

Thanks

Took a look at mine.I think that piece is crimped on and a non removable part of the switch.

Correct, that is the switch/lock assembly, not just trim... There is a trim ring around it as a push in piece to the gauge cluster cover.

You would need to hand paint what your talking about, or replace the whole ign lock assembly.

There was a thread a few days ago, about using the stock chrome grip end, as a cap for the ignition key. It will pretty much cover the part your concerned about. If you don't know whats there, you wouldn't even know it's an ignition switch.

I saw that mod and thought it looked pretty nice. But ibthink I will just take the ignition Switch out and clean it up and repaint the bezel and see how it turns out.
