Lightbar options 9 Months, 1 Week ago
I've done quit a bit of internet searching but with no end result.
I'm looking for a front lightbar for my 2001 RS that mounts both the turn signals and 4 1/2" auxiliary lights. I will be using the factory turn lamps. Will also be using the Truck Lite LED headlight.
Looking to also use the Truck Lite 4" auxiliary lights to match the headlight. That said, I'll need lamp housing that will fit the Truck Lite 4 1/2" lights. Something factory looking.
Any suggestions?

If you can find one, I would look into the Sophie's light bar. That's what I ran from New until I installed my batwing and the facelift/new look I have now.

The new die cast factory light bar part # is STR-4WM35-41-00. Google that # for ebay, Amazon, and aftermarket part retailers for deals.

Be very careful with the part numbers and look for die cast. there are a few with great prices on Ebay but they are the old steel one that breaks and it shows as the correct part number. It looks like this:

Here is a link to one on Amazon, cheapest I could find anywhere else.

I see people mention the die cast bar from time to time, but I can't recall having ever seen a photo of one mounted. What do they look like installed?

No signals on mine, I opted for turn signal mirrors instead. The lightbar is way nicer than the old style.

Are these the light housings that will fit the Truck Lite LEDs?

Make it easy on yourself....get the factory passing light and turn signal bar, and put these LED's in. They are fantastic, no modification to the stock factory light bar or housing nor to the headlight housing mount (just did these LED's on my 2000 RSS). Also the factory passing lights are 4.5" (not 4" and the headlight is 7". Pretty much plug and play. You will have to add bullet connectors to the LED passing lights so they connect to the OE connections inside the passing light housing....other than that super easy.
