So yeah, I'm thinking we need to start planning!

I have an app for route planning that shows the Butler Maps rated M/C roads (with the paid version) and I have played around a lot with it. I'm thinking I could post various possible routes to discuss and perhaps me and Mikey or other Oregon people can ride them, you know, for research purposes. I planned the one I'll post up in the next post that I've rode 90% of that was chosen for ride-ability, scenic value and just a little bit of the coast, because, well, its the coast.

Other discussion is also needed but lets try to keep this one thread going on it so its easier to find.

Good work Jay, just remember to also find cheap accommodations, food and gathering places to visit.

Oh of course, there are a number of options I'm thinking of, I figure an outdoor area perhaps a park with a covered shelter perhaps, and camping, yet close enough to town for the people that need to hotel it. I'm just throwing out some possible routes to start with. I'm thinking MikeyC will have some ideas as well and We have time to figure out details. Oh, and define cheap accommodations? Albany Oregon has prices of $50 - $200 and a number of decent places to eat.

You guys are going to mess around and make me have to buy a trailer. When that comes I'll need your phone numbers so I can have my wife call you and you can explain to her the reasons why.

Yeah, I don't think you catch my drift. I want to buy a trailer. I just need someone to justify it to my wife.

If you plan it ...they will come....and I'm closer to the $50 level as long as there aren't any critters in bed with me.....nor holes in the wall or stains on the matresss...lmao

Re:2017 NW Starfest planning thread 1 Year, 2 Months ago
Yes, we are still planning this! We have penciled in the dates to be July 13-16th with a tentative gathering place location of Lebanon Oregon. The plan as it looks like now is to have a meeting place on a vacant lot owned by MikeyC's Brother.

There would be room for camping, and We will have 2 RV's there, including mine and there is at least spots for 2 people to stay in my trailer. There should be room for more RV's or tents if needed.

There are hotels in town, from $55 and up.

So far we are thinking about 2 rides, one on Friday, shorter, say 100-150 miles and a longer ride on Saturday which would be around 200-250 miles.

meal planning is still up in the air perhaps a dinner gathering at a local place on Friday after the ride, and a BBQ the following night after the long ride? vice-versa? Thoughts?

Let me know your thoughts, or if you can attend or not and if you need a bed in my trailer

:

1. Jaybo
2. MikeyC
3. Shores
4. Bullstang360
5. OrygunZ - (+1 lower twin bed)
6. Edge51
