Ordered a Barnett spring conversion 3 Weeks, 6 Days ago
Last year at the NW Starfest I was noticing some clutch slippage. I had replaced the old clutches and spring with an EBC kit a few years ago. But I think with my riding style and my size it's just not holding up. Plus I have plans for a trailer, so I'll definitely need a solid clutch. I also got the heavy duty springs. Probably should have gone with the Barnett in the first place.

You're going to Love it! Wish I had done it a long time ago.
Guess the $130.00 for a pretty purple aluminum plate & springs that nobody's Ever going to see seemed frivolous. Now that I put it in, only thing I regret is that nobody's Ever going to see the pretty purple aluminum plate

If you are not going to do anything with that EBC clutch spring, let me know.

Good choice. Really made a different on my 2007 when I change it out for the Barnett.

After riding a Road Star with a Barrett I am a lot better with the friction zone. It forced me to have more skill with the friction zone, a fantastic unit.

Do yourself a favor and order a 7003B throwout bearing for the setup. It is an angular ball bearing better suited for side thrust loads. There are threads discussing the failure of the stock bearing setup Barnett uses.

Never understood why an axial load bearing is used for this application.
