Loving the summertime rides for work 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I do on-site tech jobs and sometimes that calls me out of town. This week that's happened a few times. I have another one schedule for Saturday in a town that I like to ride to anyway for weekend jaunts. After this weekend I'll have ridden over 1000 miles for work this week. Getting paid to ride is great!

I only work 7 miles from my front door so I don't do nearly that kind of mileage riding to work but I still do it every day I can.
Wisconsin has a short enough riding season that I avoid the car while it's nice out.

Darrell I know exactly what you mean. I have done 2 trips to Yuma and a trip to Tucson all in the last 2 weeks, all for work. Then got to putz around the Valley yesterday on the bike all day for work making several stops... Getting paid to ride the bike, gotta love it

We're having record rain, so I'm not getting much riding at all. This weekend is supposed to suck for weather, so another one lost.

January is great riding weather, usually in the 50's-70's. But perfect running weather to, so have to have time for both.

Well, tomorrow's job is cancelled. Western Montana is getting hit with forest fires. The job is scheduled for Seeley Lake and they're under fire evacuation warning. Air quality is considered hazardous. The warning could could switch to an order at any time if the fire shifts. Scary stuff.

We may also have to cancel our camping trip for week after next. We're planning on the same area, but the west side of the lake we're going to has already been evacuated. Other campgrounds in the area are closed. We're not sure yet if ours well be. But even if it isn't, it's no fun camping in all that smoke. And you can't even have your own campfire because of the restrictions.
