Logins will be disabled Thursday night (2/22)!! 2 Days ago

Hi Everyone,
The time has come for us to start the process of winding the old clinic down. The new team has commissioned a site archive of this site, which requires an extensive site crawling process, and we need to preserve all the headroom that we can for that process. Tomorrow night, February 22nd at 7:00 PM US Pacific Time, we will be disabling all logins and finishing final preparations.
The site will remain up until the end of the day (time to be determined) on the 28th.
If you have not already done so, go to www.roadstarclinic.com and sign up for the new clinic.
Thank you, everyone, for the very kind words shared over the last few days. Please remember this crew who served this community so selflessly, and take note that the new crew will be doing the same now in the clinic's new location. Doc, you made this place what it is. I hope you have the time to add something here. I was the engineer in the engine compartment. Doc has been our leader here for so long now I can't even remember what it was like now not to have him here. He steered the ship, I kept the engine running. Thank you Doc, I just can't say that enough.
Moderators: we got really lucky, and acquired a top-notch moderation crew here. Every single one of you has been extraordinary in your efforts and your support. Thank you, I hope someday we all get a chance to meet in person. If we do, the first round is on me.
Via Con Dios folks. Take a moment and get your final say in before we turn off logins. We will see everyone at Road Star Clinic V.2!!

Thanks Gram and DocShadow for everything you've done over the years! The time and effort that you've both committed is incredible and very much appreciated.
I'm really glad that we're able to continue the RSC! I hope the new version continues to foster such great community.

First of all, I'm not the Doc Gram is referring too, he was here LONG before me...
Since this place will be shutting down soon, I'd like to take this opportunity to share what I'm grateful to the RSC for...
For me, I can honestly say I would not currently own a R* if it weren't for the countless members here who have repeatedly stepped up and offered guidance, friendship and even parts to keep my old 1999 #00052 rolling. (it ain't dead yet) And I wouldn't have had the dreams and visions from seeing SO MANY amazing examples of R*s here that made my (beautiful) second R* a reality.
Sure, "thin wallet syndrome" may be a rampant disease here at the RSC, but I can honestly say I've easily saved thousand of dollars from all the knowledge shared. So I guess you could say it's kind of a wash...
I'm grateful for all the friends I've made and the extended family I've built. I'm also grateful to all those dedicated members who stepped up and came together to raise enough money to save the RSC in an archive for all to use in the future.
There's *SO* much more that I could go on and on. But I'll finish by saying I'm grateful to Gram and Doc, for making this all possible and for BubbaKahuna, for carrying the torch forward and keeping the RSC vision alive in the new site.
Thank you all so much!
Long live the RSC! ...See you all on the other side.

Well I just want to say Thanks to Gram and Doc first for making this place and secondly for letting it become something far ore than just a collection of knowledge.
Hopefully the new place can carry on. But it just doesn't feel quite right. Maybe in time
This place has been somewhat of a home/motorcycle club to myself and others. I don't think there has been anyplace as unique as this anywhere else on the web.

Thank You all especially Doc Shadow and Gram for all your time & effort to make this site what it is, sorry for the trouble I caused occasionally and will occasionally lol. The new site is perfect just different, some folks just need to get over the Ringelmann Effect to better help out and feel good about it. Hope to see you both on the new forum as civilians lol.

I would also like to thank ALL the members who provided help, information, and yes, parts. Thanks to Gram, DocShadow, and all the rest. It was the RSC that convinced me to buy my 99 R* (# 000138)
While I am very grateful to RockRiver and Jeff and the rest of you who got the new site up and running, I have to be honest and say I'm going to miss this version of the RSC. It became a very comfortable and welcoming place to be for me.

Thanks to Gram and everyone involved.
When deciding on moving off of my 22 year old Night Hawk (that I swore I would never sell), this forum is what put my on a Roadstar instead of a Vulcan.
And what turned in to simple source of technical knowledge turned in to whole new world for me.
I had to look up what M&G meant when I joined the forum. I missed Celina the first year.
For the second year I talked to my wife for a while. Figured out what M&G was, but we were used to short runs around the woods here. I booked a room only because there was a discount, thinking I could always cancel.
For the M&G, we would have a 5 hour run, then ride two hours to the Air Force museum. "Who wants to do a 4 hour round trip after just riding 5 hours...? )
I've been on other forums and you can get to "know" people, but nothing will ever compare to this site.
Obviously the the time I spent here and the friends I met is a unique experience that I believe will never be duplicated.
Thank you everyone!
Mike

I haven't posted much in quite awhile, but i have already made my account at the new RSC forum.
Thanks Graham and the rest of the admins for every thing you have done and continue to do.
Every one here has helped me a ton over the years and yep i still have my Roadie.
I do have a question tho. Is it possible to download the tech articles to my pc so they dont get lost?

I have to concur with all the above, great forum, friendly people and was so helpful when I fell into my Roadstar and got quite the education and saw the value. The first summer and my first Meet and Greet I took up Shores offer of a free bed, a guy I'd never met, but came to find a friend who welcomed me into his home, and was welcomed by him and his wife with open arms. Their hospitality was over the top. Of course I met MikeyC and NWRodie there as well as several others. Since then Mike and I organized last years NW Starfest M&G in Albany Oregon and we are doing it again this year in Spray, Oregon. My 2000 Roadstar which I promised the wife to leave it mostly as it was, now has different pipes (my 3rd set!) has been taken down and Race Tech'ed, Roadwinged, Jumbo Strong Bagged, ED Seat'ed, BAK'ed,LED'ed, Ape'ed and is almost ready for custom paint and a Mikuni HSR42. Yup, it's been quite the ride and I'm loving every minute I'm on it.
Gram, Thank you! Your site opened a new chapter in my life and new stories to tell, new friends and a new appreciation of reliable motorcycles. Sure wish you could make it up to a NW Starfest So we can buy you an Ice Cold Delicious Beverage
