I never did get my mom to ride on any of my motorcycles- she thought they were too dangerous. However, back when I called home to tell her about buying my second motorcycle (a Honda CL350), she told me I needed to put better headlights on her Porsche 914 (I'd installed Cibie H4 lights on them the last time I'd been home). After asking her why, she said they didn't light up the road far enough. "Mom, how fast were you going?" I asked. A moment of silence, and then "In excess of 90MPH"." Mom- you're the mother of seven children- why were you going so fast ?" , I asked. " I was out in east Texas, and some guy in a Oldsmobile wanted to race me- I left him in my dust!". She'd been going so fast, the front end of her Porsche was getting light. Later, she had knee replacement and could no longer drive a manual transmission car, so us poor sons had to drive the car and get it inspected, etc. Such a chore!

wow im happy that it brought a smile or some memories..... the first time i took my mum for a ride was on my GSX-R 750, she couldnt stop laughing and on the first corner i found the bike wouldnt turn and i had to lean more and more till i looked over my shoulder to see my mum totally leaning in the opposite direction laughing her head off.

the old yamaha RD 350.... my second bike was also a race prepped RD350, couldnt keep the front wheel on the road... it would just pop up straight away or when you hit the power band.

that was amazing. seeing the smile on her face was truly one of the best things i saw today.

I had to laugh watching her lift her leg with her pants. Sometimes I have to do that too and I'm only 58. I honestly thought she was going to for a ride.....
