carb guys question 1 Year, 11 Months ago
I have been fighting firggin new camera and new computer for 45 minutes trying to download and post a pic. I really doubt if this works. If it does, is this brass fitting a plug or a jet (next to Main and pilot jets). If was not a plug originally, it is now . . . . .

I understood it to be a 'starter jet' that was only used in the earliest runs.
But we both know I rarely know squat!

Maybe this'l helps... http://roadstarclinic.com/component/option,com_fireboard/Itemid,187/func,view/catid,12/id,75711/

That is correct. It is (was) a started jet. Phil nailed it.

Thanks Phil, I'll start bundling her back together. Still do not know why I dropped from 45mpg the last couple of years to 30 coming back from Eureka Springs. Nothing obvious so far.

It's rare but even a blind squirrel finds a nut on occasion. I think the mileage back from AR could be associated with the pucker affect of following me and my stripped steering stem nut.
That was a nice trip, I'm looking forward to this years adventure.
