Deerkiller,

I found the ultimate combination for mine. Mustang seat and Helibars. I'm telling you, a whole different riding experience. I took it out yesterday on a nice ride with MJ Score for the first time with the setup. Best money I've ever spent.

Seat definitely looks different. I'm actually fine with the bars the way they are. Stock seat puts a huge amount of pressure directly on my tail bone it seems. Can you put a back rest on that seat you have?

No, but the way you sit down in the seat, that small raised area that kinda acts like part of the pocket for the passenger, sits right up against your lower back. You can definitely feel it. I've never used a driver backrest, so to me it seems like it acts like one.

I'd love to sit on one and try it out. Too bad you're in CA

Deerkiller,

One more thing, if your thinking about changing out the seat, do yourself a favor and get the remote opener for your saddlebags. Works freaking great and no more leaving your key in the lock in the back. For about $170 it's a good little insurance policy.

Also, if you haven't done it yet, you might want to join the F6B forum. That's where I bought my seat. Much cheaper!!

Yeah, the locking bags thing is a pain. Stupid that you can't leave them unlocked. Thanks for the tip

Deerkiller,

Found this on F6b forum.

Stock seat for sale -2014 Mean City upgrade $150
The seat is in great shape with about 4k miles on it. I sent it to Mean City Cycle a year ago to get a lower more comfortable seating position. It was a great improvment but I got a great deal on a Mustang and couldn't pass it up.

Not sure what the deal is, but if you want I can PM the guy for you.

I think that's what that Mean City upgrade is. They custom redo seats. Like Messer suggests, could be a good and cheaper option.

You actually can leave them unlocked. Really easy mod. Ice had mine unlocked since the first month I owned my f6b. Besides, unless you own an f6b you would have no idea how to open it anyway lol.

Oh yea, what's up fellas..... Its been a while lol.

Call me tomorrow Kyle I will explain how to do it.

Not exactly true..... Grant you still owe me an adult beverage since I opened yours...

Hope all is well.

I installed a run-flat car tire on an F6B rear last Friday. He went on a ride over the weekend with it and called to tell me it performed better than the MC tire. I'm not a huge fan of using a car tire on a MC, but that Run-Flat one took a lot of effort to mount (the sidewall was super stiff). I actually may be a believer now (maybe).
