What do you mean by stuttering? When?
How is the needle set up?

By stuttering I mean the same old problem I was having before the pipes/rejet...at about 55 mph at even throttle (just holding speed) it seems to be cutting on and off (best way I can describe it...not quite getting an even flow of fuel) The needle was set as per Dynajet specs and I cannot recall them right this instant, I have to check tonight...this was one of the things I had my buddy, the race prep mechanic, help me with...

I had the same problem after a rejet. I ended up dropping the needle from the 4th slot to the 3rd and it cleared right up plus the milage came up a little and WOT was right on.

Sounds like it could be a lean surge.
Remember that the circuits overlap so you can be off on one circuit and compensate for it on another, but the carb would not be optimal. For example, you probably were compensating another circuit with a larger than needed pilot.
In your case, it's sounds like the pilot, needle or float level.
I'd say the pilot is probably where it should be (35) but you need to check your float level.
How's your needle set up?
Are you sure you don't have any maniflod leaks.

I have to admit to being a simple minded fellow in many regards. An optimal carb is not something I will lose sleep over If touching up the PMS makes it run right, so be it...I'd rather ride than tinker If the problems continue then I'll start looking elsewhere...of interest is that when the choke is pulled out slightly it seems to smooth out (sorry forgot that tidbit before).
Thanks for the suggestions!

Lean surge.
PMS might help .... certainly doesn't cost anything to try it. Turn it out 1/4 turn at a time.

Took the air cleaner, etc. off after work and did the PMS thing...ran it all the way in and then backed it out 3 1/3 turns...takes a while to really warm up (temps have been in the low 60s here) but once done the bike seems to be running fine. I am going to give it a few days and see how it goes...may try 3.5 before I start looking elsewhere
Just for the record...I blame all y'all for this tinkering jag
