I just fail to understand when people bid up these ebay things and think "oh, I'm saving $10 over what I can buy it in a store, but then end up paying $20 to ship something!! The net result is actually paying MORE than you would if you just went to a local store.

Somewhat true. Don't forget sometimes you may not be able to buy the article in your locations.

I decided to rejet and get the K&N filter and box after I developed "stumbling" problems traceable to 15% ethanol gas...I had a buddy of mine who is a former racer and crakerjack mechanic work with me as I did not feel comfortable doing the whole job myself. After we rejetted it ran like a raped simian without any stumble but, having installed the cobra pilot needle it suck fuel like a Hugo Chavez henchman was paying for it...so I dropped the stock needle back in...I then tweaked around with the PMS myself and I am thrilled (yes thrilled) to reprt that the bike is running better than ever and the gas mileage is about 42 around town and 48 on the road two up

The moral of the story is, get it done or have it done

Regards, Ted

Hey Mark,
Don't know what you're willing (or wanting) to pay, but check this out;

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-SPEEDSTAR-PERFORMANCE-AIR-FILTER-
FOR-ROADSTAR_W0QQitemZ190201980454QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item190201980454

According to my 2005 Yamaha catalog, this is about $70 cheaper. Don't know what shipping will be though.

In The Wind,
Aaron
