How was your summer? 2 Years, 5 Months ago
Mine was very stressful but road every chance I got. Work was very busy and demanding, but enabled the purchase of a few items for the bike. My best times were riding on hot sunny days, and bike related purchases. Played a few gigs on my drum kit but health issues hindered my energy levels thus did not play with the intensity to be pleased with the gigs. Got my urge to ride fast out of my system, and appreciate cruising more so. Had next to no beer this summer, too tired by the weekends. Having the bike makes me realize how valuable time is, as sunny dry days in Nova Scotia are limited. Had a few long rides and the Big Ed Touring seat is the best. New tires this summer, worked great. Looking towards next summer, better health, and less stress. Planning is the key. Hope everyone had a great summer,on or off the bike.

It was a very good summer for me over all. I normally work several 100 hour weeks but I had quite a few weekends off. I even had the chance to take a long weekend off to take a road trip on our bikes with a buddy(on a normal year that's unheard of).I got to spend a lot of time with my wife and daughter. I put some fish in the freezer to get by until ice fishing starts and my daughter and I are getting ready for hunting season to start.

Started a new job on May 18th. Closed on our new townhouse on May 28th. Finished moving on August 31st. Town home living was my dream, but the whole summer was spent moving, cleaning and yard work. I sound like I am whining a little (lot) bit, but I truly received what I asked for.
Now I am off to the UP for a week on a slow trip.

Hottest summer on record here in Scorpion Gulch. Thank God for Freon! Only rode once out of necessity. I ride for fun and 110 + is no fun. This week is all high 90's I can handle that.

Work Work Work, typically 6 to 7 days a week except the first two weeks of August when I take off...didn't get as much riding in as usual; didn't take a motorcycle vacation...still ride every chance I get

Too short, as usual. Didn't get as many track days in as I wanted, but I did get the bike pretty well sorted out and now ride with the A group. I'm happy with that. And, I didn't wad it up or blow up the motor, so that's good.

Woke up at 6:30 here in Bryson City to go get a coffee and it was 45° wearing snowmobile gloves for the morning ride
