Welcome bru ...

Hope you enjoy the new bike as much as I enjoy mine. I firmly believe this is the 'right' bike for me. If not, I'll change it so it is

Don't for get to visit the other RoadStar sites on Delphi Forums; a link to one of them is provided on the Home page of this site. You'll find a large number of friendly and very informative people who are itching to answer all your 'stupid' questions. (There's never a 'stupid' question but you may receive a 'stupid' answer )

Glad you like the site .... GRAM is the man responsible.

Doc:
A couple of years ago I had bookmarked your page on lowering the rear fender, but it is now unavailable because Rogers has changed their member webpage hosting. Do you have your pages available somewhere else now?

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

Under my sigpic it says "My Bike Website". This is a link to my website; just click on it.

Don't have much and it needs to be updated but I hope you find what you are looking for.

Yep, that's it. Thanks.
I liked it enough before to bookmark it, so that says something. On the "lowering the fender" page it has a link to see the final result - that isn't working. I seem to recall you had some before/after shots that showed the effect of the lowering.

Thanks again.

Dan,

Thanks.

I fixed the link. I also have a couple of pics on that page which for the life of me I have not been able to figure out why they won't show.

My bike is not lowered in the rear but when I put the 6 degree trees on, it dropped about 1" in front compared to stock. I have since added 4" fork extensions and the front has gone up about 1" compared to stock. I don't have these pics on the website but can e-mail pics if you want to see.

Hi Doc,
This is my first post here. I just bought a 05 Road Star Silverado on June 20, put 2000 mies on it so far and loved every one of them. The reason those 2 pics won't show is because the extension is in capital letters /Fender_adapter.JPG, change them to .jpg and they will show up fine.
Oh by the way you can see the first pics of my so far stock Star ( with saddlebags temp. removed) at http://www.thommeyer.net/gallery.
Also this forum has been a fantastic source of info for me and al the stars I have seen here have been inspiring. I have no doubt I bought the right machine.

Welcome Thom,

You da Man! I changed the extension and the pics show up.

You deserve some Karma.

Hope you enjoy the bike for years to come. As for 2000 miles in 1 month .... you dog I drive to work every day and don't make that much.

Glad you find the Forum of use and keep posting pics as you develop 'chromitis'.

Thanks Doc, I do web design on the side so I knew what to look for . As for the 2000 miles, I took a trip to Maryland on the 4th weekend so that put on about 950 right there. Got another trip planned for West Virginia next month and Fla. in Nov. so I'll be racken the miles up. I haven't been able to ride since the 70's when I had my 53 Indian Chief so I figure I have some catching up to do. I have already moved the fuel pump and filter and removed the AIS. Figure pipes and a BAK is next then more chrome then new paint.
