That's a tough individual. Glad Joe is getting mobile so quick. That's very good. Continued prayers for a speedy recovery. Not ignoring Jason and Jake, I hope you both are getting along good as well. This was a tough hit for our family here. Glad to see (what I always suspected of most members) that the strong characters here translate to strong wills.

GREAT NEWS!!!!

Just received a text message from Joe. As of this morning, he is completely off of oxygen!!!

This has at least two messages, one, this means that his lungs are healing well AND he can be transferred to a rehab facility near his home in Charleston. The transfer could take place as early as tomorrow but more likely later in the week.

Joe and Frances appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers.......

As you can imagine, Joe has a long road to recovery and there may be some difficult times still ahead. Personally, I would ask that everyone continue to pray for Joe, as well as any of our community here who need our assistance.

a little more update, I went over and seen joe today and he was sitting up in the chair and being joe and they might actually move him to Charleston tomorrow and I know him and his wife will be glad to at least be closer to home and will be easier on them both. didn't want to get to mushy in front of joe but it really filled my heart right up when I walked in and he smiled and reached out his hand. every thing else is pretty much liked greg (girby) said. again kudos to you greg! I also want to say joes wife frances is a real first lady type of woman!
