Road Star Prices? 2 Years ago
I'm about to go pick up a 2008 FI Road Star. It is the base model with no extras and spoke rims, it has 4500 miles on it.

I got him down from 6300 to 5700. Is that a good buy?

Just went to KBB and saw this bike from a dealer is $5,645 and trade in value is $3,885.
Would I be smart to walk away and look for something else? Help me out fellas. Lol

If you are thinking you can flip it and make money, probably not. For a bike you will keep and ride, it's OK. Since their recent "extinction" prices have been dropping like lead balloons. It will be a long time (if ever) until they raise.

What's a good price to pay if I'm going to keep it? I've got an 02 with 60000 miles and it runs great just thought I buy a new one but don't want to over pay

I think that you answered your own question here. If you can't get him down another grand (show him the numbers) then I think you are overpaying. FWIW, I paid $5700 out the door for my '07 5 years ago and it came with hard bags and a windshield.

9300??? wow thats hugh even for canadian dollars! The one for 5700....I wouldn't pay more than 4500. Paid 3750 for my 05 Silverado with V&H Longshots and 12K miles. FI is nice and worth a look @4500 I would jump on it.

$4k for that bike would be acceptable. I'm looking a loaded RSV with 5600 miles on it for $6k. A lot more expensive bike than a bare bones Roadstar. I would be hard pressed to spend more than $4k on any stock Roadstar in the winter months..
