I think you'll be happier if you can get them further back(closer to you), with a bit more spread, like you have in the beach bar pic. Maybe lose most of the down dip you got when you flip the stockers over.

I really think I will like the bars too.... I sat on that bike and took measurements for at least 45 minutes lol...

Smoke,
My birthday is May 14th... surprise me.

Also How far would you lower this bike? I am not sure how far I went with it... Obviously the lower you go the better it looks but you then have riding restrictions. Happy medium?

Rock climbing is a blast!

What is stock ride height? Is there an easy way to measure how much lower you are... other than ground to frame?

The stock height, measuring from the ground, to the bottom of the lower frame rails, should be pretty close to 6 1/4 inches. Maybe a tad higher in the front. Measure as close to where the rails turn up as you can, and still be parallel to the ground.

Had the same handlebar problem with my build. Bought biltwell tracker handlebars but you really have to lean forward.
I'm gonna try to give them a shot though...just because they look so f nice!
Nice build anyway...wish I had the opportunity to get custom parts made of metal like you do. The air filter you made fit looks better then the ones you buy for 200-300 dollars!

Thanks skwearpeg

Phil,
I know what you mean... drag bars and clip ons look so good but don't work well with forward controls. And thanks for the kind words! I just really enjoy sharing ideas and when people like them.... well that's even better!

Handlebars should be completed today... Got the material in, had my brother saw a piece off now hopefully it will get bent up before I leave...

Amy's Butt Brace:
The first prototype is drawn and ready to be cut.... most likely wont be completed until later next week...
