What if I put a plug in the end and cut a nice slot in the side of the pipe? I rather not ruin the straight down look.... Just make sure you're happy with the baffles before you weld that in. What would be ideal is a sort of plug that slips inside the pipe and is held in place by a screw, that way you can remove it to get at the baffles.
