Why not just use the stock headlight? It's 7" and looks much better than that IMO. If it ain't broke......  |

The stock headlight is a big-ass headlight for a bobber... The whole principle of a bobber is to cut weight wherever possible. Following that, the amber is cool. Maybe try it out and see if it grows on you? Just a thought.

The old school bobbers used big ole lights....cuz it's all they had. 
Just a side note about the size, the Roadies are real husky in the front, and to small of a light, looks like a tiny bowler, on a great big guy. When I was messing with mine, I had a 6 inch HD headlight I tried, and it still looked kind of odd. It's a beauty thing. |

Well I sold my 2005 CBR600RR this past Sunday and yesterday I let go of my 1996 Kawi 800 Bobber... That means more room in the garage! but thats all it means -_- Money will be going to a house (lame). Although my Father has agreed to let me make his 72 CB500 into a cafe bike as long as I don't do any cutting to the frame or any parts (So he can return it to stock one day) So you will see that in the background shortly.
As far as the roadie goes once I get the starter relay in Tomorrow I can start it and dump the rest of the oil in... make sure my pressure gauge isn't leaking anywhere and then finish tidying up the wiring. I have to make a few more pieces for my seat and have them welded to the pan and that will be ready to fit and weld to the bike. I need to drill the neck of the bike up front where the tank mounts end up and weld on nuts so that can be mounted. I will also be welding in a tab on the rear of the tank but in the tunnel so it wont be seen. The tab will rest on the backbone of the bike and I will find a nice hose clamp to just hold it down (classy). I did order a new headlight and already have a bracket that will work so that is all set. I think I will strap a temporary tank on the bike so I can take it down the road a few times and try to get the carb synced the best I can. After I know the tank fits how I want it I will need to take some bondo to it because there are quite a few pits in the metal work. The detachable passenger seat brace may need a little more tweaking to work (So it doesnt rub the rear tire) The attachment point I have working very well. Just need to drill a few holes and weld some nuts on the brace itself and eventually purchase a P-Pad to put on it. The brace is very ugly when on the bike and will have my old lady fairly high in the air... I rather make a detachable rear fender with a P-pad on it but then she wouldn't have any suspension 
I am also going to weld my hand shifter right to the stock shifting setup so when cruising down the road i can just slam through gears with that not using a clutch.
After all that junk is done I can finally break it down one last time and powdercoat / paint and assemble.
