Just turned 55 on the 16th.
Been riding since I was a little kid - Honda mini-trail 50, ct70, ct90, Bultaco Sherpa T, Honda CB350, CB750K5, Custom chopped 750 Honda, 1976 Superglide, 93" modded HD, Honda Interceptor 750, Honda CX500 Turbo, Kawasaki 500 Mach III full race toy, Suzuki Intruder 1400, and now my 2001 Roadstar! Might have missed one or two in there.

55 here.

I started in the early 70's with a 1969 Honda SL350. My Dad brought it home in a box and said if I wanted to put it back together, it was mine. The SL was the dirt bike version with low black pipes. I stripped it, repainted, rebuilt (bored) and rode the heck out of it until I got tired of breaking things in the dirt.

My next bike was a Honda CL 360, 1973 I think. I paid $600 for it in 76. Rode that through most of college.

In 1980, I wanted something bigger so I sold the Honda and bought a used Suzuki 750. It was the first model year for their in-line 4. 1975 I think. Had a real nice paint job, a mural on the tank. I had it for 5-6 weeks and a lady in a van changed lanes beside me and ran me off the road.

I took the check from that and bought a 1978 Kawasaki KZ650. I rode that until about 1985. It needed repairs and maintenance. The kids needed clothes. I sold the bike to my brother. I told my wife that when the kids were grown, I would get another. I don't think she believed me.

About 2 months ago, I picked up my 2007 Roadie. I think she forgot what I said when I sold the Kaw. She's better with it, but still hasn't rode on it yet.

I forgot the Heath Kit Booney Bike that started all of this. Big fat rear tire, about 8" I think. 5 HP motor with a 2 speed tranny. We also had the ski for the front tire. Made it real fun in the winter.

I'll be 43 next month. Been riding my own bikes off and on since age 15. The longest I went without a bike was 8 years. Oddly enough, it was my wife who suggested I get a bike. She didn't get any argument from me on that one. (I had mentioned a time or 40 that I missed riding )
