Road King Classic fitment issues 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Having issues getting my Road King Classic bags to fit. I have dchopper custom brackets. The belt side bag is rubbing the swing arm and isn't clearing it by 1/4inch or so. The brake side is perfectly fine. The brackets are adjusted so that the peg side is as high as it will go, and both the peg mount and the fender mount are shimmed but that isn't working.

Can you shim the lower mount out a bit? Put a set on a friend's bike and the lip on the front edge was a pita. Shimmed out the lower mount and kind of rolled that lip under a little to make it work

I did have the lower mount at the foot pegs shimmed, unless you meant something else. What do you mean by rolling the lip under?

Pinched the forward edge between 2 paint stir sticks with a vice grip and bent the forward edge of the lip back toward the back of the bag. Not noticeable with the bag mounted.
