They claim to be able to lower the cut RPM among other things.

There is a world of possibility between "claim" and "guarantee" I learned that is the Hard Knocks School of Business!

Where, who, how? What is the "cut" RPM? Inquiring minds want to know! Thanks...

When the throttle is closed (coasting) above a certain rpm the ECU cuts the fuel to the injectors - shuts them off. The PC can lower the rpm's where the injectors come back online. Helps with fuel mileage and stops any lower rpm popping.
From what I understand though too low a cut makes for a jerky throttle at times.

I'm curious how you know this. Can you direct us to a document or something. Are you thinking of a Roadstar Warrior? I understand they are adjustable, but not ours.

Yes, same as the Warrior. Most FI Yams can be done. Called "CO Mode Activation". Anyone ever Use there Reset and Select switches for adjusting your display brightness? You can actually diagnose the entire bike from those switches.

I'm leave that all alone for now.

Gonna see of my stock O2s will fir the "extra" Crobra pipes i have.

To enter CO mode also requires that a jumper be applied at the ECU. It also requires that an EGA be used so the CO% can be read. I've never had to do one though.

Your stock O2's need to be mounted as far up the pipes as possible in order to make sure only pure exhaust is flowing over them. Reversion in those open pipes can affect the signal to the processor.

okay - so have an update. I had the Map reviewed. It is apparently set up for most gains in power. With that said the HP numbers are low. So something doesn't jive. My map may be jacked up. And getting 26 MPG. AUTOTUNE OFF

Now - I am using that same map. AUTOTUNE ON . Autotune set to only adjust by 8%. I used a standard Target AFR table from Dynojet. It is not lean. Mostly 13.2 and 13.7 Riding same as before. Several different fuels and octanes. Performance feels much heartier. 32 MPG.

First thing - This proves that Autotune does adjust on the fly.

Now I will change the percentage 6% more to 14% and ride like that and see what happens. Then again at 20% if I feel the need. not going to make the map permanent until everything checks out. With it fixed i can switch off the Autotune and save the O2 sensors. turn on when in the mountains or whatever. Or just leave everything fired up and running like the stock sensors do.

A lot to go through but since I have the stuff installed already, might as well try to make it work correctly. Feeling very confident about this setup now.

Side note - New Michelin Commander 2 tires ROCK!

You can bring that AFR all the way into the 14's and not be lean. At 13.2 you are well into the rich side of things anything lower should only be at WOT. Even at 13.8 at hwy speeds you are on the cusp of being rich. cruising speeds are just fine at an afr of 14 - 14.5. some run AFR's into the high 14's to 15 afr without issue.

It was a safe start for a Target Map. I'll play with this for a few. Easy to go through the target AFR map and add some points. Not a ton of info on this etuo so winging it but doing it in steps so not to create a mess. thanks for you input.

I don't have a FI bike but I am interested in seeing how the auto tune works out.

Autotune was adjusting to 32 MPG with a 10% rate of adjustment. I added .5 across the board for target AFR and set Autotune to 12%. That yielded 36 MPG but felt a little lean. Hard to explain that comment but it didn't feel/sound right. Going to use another target AFR map that is .3 above original and Autotune at 10 then at 8 and see what happens.
